Curious about common Korean food? 

Wherever I travel, I have a great curiosity for what kind of dishes the local people have. 
This might be just for me. But experiencing the local food and learning their food culture is pretty fun and meaningful. 

So today i want to share, as one of Korean, some restaurants that you can order common Korean food. To put it more detail, i will not talk about specific name of restaurant but some traits of restaurant that have common Korean style dishes. 

What is common Korean food?

There might be a lot of opinions about What Korean common food is.

I think common Korean dishes consist of main menu, rice, soup and several Banchan which is called side dishes in western side.

And now we have to take a look at some places that you can order Korean common dishes.

Lunch is looking-forward time for students and (office) worker of all ages.
But not every time we can have delicious and fancy dishes. 
Because almost all of people have fixed food expense and sometimes we don`t have enough time to have lunch. 

So if you want to experience some dishes Korean (office) worker or students commonly have, visit following bistros. 
The traits of these bistros are that they have the name 'Gimbap(김밥)' on thier sign.

It might be a little hard for you to understand. So please refer to the photograph.

These bistros actually have almost all of Korean dishes like Budaejjigae, KImchijjigae, Bibimbap etc... And They are super reasonable prices. 
It is plausible that we can call these bistros 'zip file of Hansik (Korean food)'.
So why don`t you visit here? You can experience various common Korean food and the atmosphere of work place or institutes streets. 

Restaurants that have menu 'Baekban'

Another places that you can enjoy common Korean dishes are some restaurants that have Baekban menu. 

Baekban is a word appealing Korean food consist of rice, soup and several Banchan that are changed day by day according to food materials of each restaurants.

They are rally famous for Korean (office) workers because the give us various Banchan that is not fixed. Through this, we can feel like we have mom-made lunch.
And inexpensive price is a plus. You can enjoy all of components of Banchan under 9 U.S dollars.

Anyway, let`s get to the point. there is no specific external traits of these restaurants. So we have to find some restaurants that have Baekban menu. 

And most of these restaurants have a word with 'Baekban or Sikdang on their sings. 
So find some restaurants that kind of word on their sign.

Or best way is to ask Korean. If you know any Korean, ask them. Then they will be happy to get you know. Or if you don`t have Korean friend just ask Korean around you. They will kindly teach you their foodie Baekban list.
